Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center was awarded as top 2 performing TECH4ED Center LGU Category by the Department of Information and Communication and Technology.

The award was received by Dr. Ma. Cristina Orbecido, NOLITC Vocational School Administrator & TECH4ED Center Manager from DICT Undersecretary for Management and Operations Jorge Sarmiento, during the 11th Knowledge Exchange Conference awarding ceremony yesterday in Quezon City.

NOLITC bested other 630 centers in the country by being second highest in the number of registered TECH4ED platform users. The Center was launched last March 1, 2016 and has been consistently included in the roster of top performing centers and top 1 in the Visayas.

Usec Sarmiento urged all top performing tech4Ed Centers to continue growing for digital inclusion and opportunities.

NOLITC TECH4Ed center is available for free use to the public from Monday to Friday during office hours. The online platforms available in the center include eEduskills, eAssist, eGovserve, eAgri and eMarketplace.

Since it’s inception, NOLITC TECH4ED Center had already registered more than a thousand users majority are students.
